Estamos en 1933, en un mundo en el que la mujer estaba excluida de la vida política y académica Una madre feminista decide crear un mundo diferente para su hija. La hija es una fuera de serie y a los 18 años intenta liberarse de la garras de su madre. Está basada en una historia real aunque parezca increíble.
La historia real de Hildegart Rodríguez Carballeira, niña prodigio y feminista adelantada a su tiempo. La película que se divide entre contarnos los tiempos nuevos que se abrieron con la llegada de La República y la axfisiante y controlada vida de Hildergart por parte de una madre. No termina de funcionar del todo pero sí resulta muy interesante conocer al personaje.
